Kitchen Extension Questions
We scope kitchen extensions after reviewing your layout, the structural work involved, the planning route, and the specification level for cabinetry, glazing, and finishes. That lets us prepare a proposal based on the real project rather than a rough estimate.
Many single-storey rear extensions fall under Permitted Development and don't need planning. You can typically extend up to 3m (terraced) or 4m (detached) without permission. Larger extensions may need a Lawful Development Certificate or full planning—we handle both.
For most of the build, yes—we keep your existing kitchen operational until the new space is ready. The "knock-through" phase requires 1-2 weeks of disruption, during which we help you set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in your home.
